Donation FAQ
Yes. AEI is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 92-3129746). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We recommend consulting your tax advisor for your specific situation.
Yes. Zeffy will send a donation confirmation to the email you provide at checkout. That confirmation serves as your receipt for tax purposes.
No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations unless specifically stated at the time of the gift. Our study materials are free to everyone regardless of whether they donate.
Zeffy is the donation platform AEI uses to process gifts. It's free for nonprofits to use — meaning Zeffy does not take a percentage of your donation. Your full donation amount reaches AEI.
During checkout, Zeffy may ask if you'd like to add a voluntary contribution to support Zeffy's platform. That is entirely optional and separate from your donation to AEI. You can decline it without any effect on your gift.
Generally, gifts go to AEI's general charitable work. If you'd like to discuss a restricted gift for a specific program, email us before donating and we'll let you know what's possible.
