Our mission

Expand access to knowledge and educational opportunity.

That is the throughline. The programs may differ, but the purpose stays the same: widen the door to serious learning without lowering the standard of what learning should be.

Problem

Educational opportunity remains limited by cost, access, and barriers to learning.

Too often, the people ready to learn face expensive systems, scattered information, or institutional friction before they ever get to the material itself.

We do not think the answer is to lower the bar. We think the answer is to remove unnecessary barriers while protecting rigor, clarity, and the real value of understanding something well.

Mission

A mission simple enough to hold us accountable.

Expand access to knowledge and educational opportunity.

How we pursue that mission

Different forms of work, one shared purpose.

01

Educational publishing

Create resources that teach clearly, respect the reader, and make serious learning more reachable.

02

Public learning resources

Publish free explainers and reference materials for people learning outside formal classrooms.

03

Affordable education initiatives

Build lower-cost pathways that help people earn recognized credit without sacrificing understanding.

04

Future educational research

Study what expands educational opportunity in practice and share that work in useful, public-facing ways.

Current focus

Our first major initiative is affordable college credit for independent learners.

Right now, the clearest place to start is helping people earn recognized college credit through affordable pathways like CLEP and other credit-by-exam options.

That work matters on its own. It also reflects the larger mission: expand access, keep the rigor, and make educational opportunity less dependent on cost.
