Depending on how you interact with AEI, we may collect:

• Your name and email address (if you contact us, sign up for updates, or inquire about volunteering or partnering)
• Donation information — amount, frequency, and the contact details you provide during the donation process
• Messages you send us — questions, feedback, volunteer or partner inquiries

We don't require you to create an account to access our study materials. The guides are free and open.

Donations and Zeffy

Donations to AEI are processed through Zeffy, a third-party donation platform. When you make a donation, Zeffy collects your payment information directly. Zeffy's handling of your payment data is governed by Zeffy's own privacy policy — AEI does not receive or store your credit card or banking details.

AEI may receive your name, email, donation amount, and any message you include with a donation so that we can acknowledge your gift and communicate with you about our work.

How we use information

AEI uses information only to:

• Operate the nonprofit and carry out our mission
• Communicate with donors, volunteers, partners, and people who reach out to us
• Process and acknowledge donations
• Respond to questions and inquiries
• Improve our materials and website over time

What we don't do

AEI does not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We do not share donor, learner, volunteer, or contact information with advertisers, marketers, or unrelated third parties.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

AEI uses Google Analytics for basic website usage measurement, such as understanding page visits and general traffic patterns so we can improve the site over time. We do not use advertising pixels or sell visitor data.

Zeffy's checkout may use cookies or tracking technology governed by Zeffy's own policies, separate from AEI's website analytics.
